Happy New Year! I hope 2009 provides many opportunities for all the Holiday Heights community to “explore the possibilities” that are available to us. January will be a time of evaluating mid-year progress and making plans to ensure progress. Students will be doing assessments in reading, math, writing, science and social studies during the first two weeks. As soon as data is available from those assessments, staff members will begin analyzing it to designing plans for each student. Be expecting to hear from your child’s teacher by the end of the month regarding what to expect for your child.
